Acai berry is a small purple fruit native to the Amazon rainforest. Our acai is typically wild-harvested by cooperatives and we have chosen the Euterpe Precatoria variety due to its higher antioxidant count and lower fat level than standard acai (Euterpe Oleracea). In fact, this type of acai berry has one of the highest ORAC values (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity) of any food. Acai berry is HIGH IN VITAMIN A which contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and HIGH IN VITAMIN E which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
