Collected by the bees in late spring/early summer from the Robinia pseudoacacia flower, commonly known as the black locust or false acacia tree, this unique honey almost tastes of the season it is collected in. It has a high fructose content and is rich in powerful plant compounds with antioxidant properties. Pure Acacia honey contains many important antioxidants which protect against free radical damage. The main antioxidant in acacia honey are flavonoids, which could reduce the risk of chronic conditions, such as heart disease and certain types of cancer. Acacia Honey also contains beta carotene, a type of plant pigment with powerful antioxidant properties.
